Baptisms (Christenings)

There is no difference between a christening service and a baptism service. During a christening, you or your child will be baptised with water.

Baptism is the start of an amazing journey of faith. On the day that somebody is baptised, they will be filled with new life, and welcomed into God’s family.  It is a special day for friends and family too.

Children’s Baptism services take place on the first Sunday of the Month during our ‘Church for Kids’ service.  Please call the parish office on 01553 767555 and we will have a chat with you about which Sundays are available and make a booking for you.  After that, you’ll meet the vicar to talk through the meaning of baptism, look at what the service involves and help answer any questions you may have.  Adult Baptisms are scheduled by arrangement.

There is no charge for a service of baptism/christening.
